At HmdPublishing, we strive to provide top-quality book publishing services. However, if you’re not satisfied with your purchase, we have a fair and transparent refund policy based on the nature of the service provided.
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase and are subject to the following conditions:
✔️ Book Cover Design & Illustration:
• Full refund if no initial concepts have been delivered.
• Partial refund if drafts have been submitted but not finalized.
• No refund once the final high-resolution files have been sent.
✔️ Book Editing & Formatting:
• Refunds available before work begins.
• Partial refunds may be granted if only a portion of the work has been completed.
• No refund once the final edited/formatted manuscript has been delivered.
✔️ Book Writing & Ghostwriting:
• Due to the nature of writing services, no refunds will be issued once the first draft has been shared.
• If no work has started, a 70% refund may be granted, minus administrative fees.
✔️ Book Publishing Services:
• No refunds once the book has been submitted to publishing platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, etc.).
• If publishing is canceled before submission, a 50% refund may be issued.
✔️ Audiobook Production:
• Refunds only before narration work begins.
• No refunds once voice recording and production have started.
✔️ Marketing & Advertising Services:
• Marketing services, including Amazon Ads, social media promotions, and PR, are non-refundable once initiated.
2. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email info@hmdpublishing.com with:
• Your name
• Service purchased
• Reason for refund request
• Any supporting documentation
Once your request is reviewed, we will notify you of approval or rejection within 5 business days.
3. Processing Time
• Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days via the original payment method.
• Transaction fees may be deducted depending on the payment gateway used.
4. Exceptions & Disputes
• No refunds will be granted for client inactivity, delays, or failure to provide necessary materials.
• Any disputes will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and our decision will be final.
