HMD's Complete Publishing Package has three tiers: Author Essentials at £997, Bestseller Bundle at £2,997, and Empire Builder at £4,997. Each covers editing, cover design, interior formatting, retailer setup and launch support for one price, with a dedicated project manager. Add-ons such as extra editing, audiobook production or rush delivery are priced separately.
Yes, and the page shows the arithmetic. Bought individually at our own standalone prices, the same services come to £1,205, £3,673 and £8,693 respectively — so the packages save £208, £676 and £3,696. A few extras included in the packages have no standalone price and are counted as zero, so the real saving is slightly larger.
Author Essentials takes 6 weeks, Bestseller Bundle takes 9 weeks, and Empire Builder takes 13 weeks. That runs from kickoff through to your book being live. The timeline depends partly on how quickly you review and approve at each stage.
Yes. You retain copyright, distribution rights and 100% of the royalties your retailers pay. HMD is a service provider, not a publisher taking a share — we do not take a percentage of your sales, and the retail accounts are in your name.
The package starts from a finished manuscript — we do not write the book for you (that is our separate ghostwriting service). It does not include marketing beyond the launch support stated in your tier, print runs or stock (books print on demand at the retailer), or word counts beyond your tier's cap. Anything outside the scope is quoted before it starts.
Each tier includes editing up to a set length — 50,000 words on Author Essentials, 80,000 on Bestseller Bundle and 100,000 on Empire Builder. If your manuscript is longer, additional editing is charged per 10,000 words at the rate for your tier, and we confirm that cost with you before any work begins rather than invoicing it afterwards.
