Navigating the Dashboard
Getting there
Go to advertising.amazon.com and sign in. You will land on the campaign manager overview, which shows all your active and paused campaigns.
Finding your campaigns
Click Campaigns in the left navigation. Each row is one campaign. The columns show impressions, clicks, spend, sales, and ACoS. Use the date picker (top right) to select a time period.
Drilling into a campaign
Click any campaign name to see its ad groups. Click an ad group to see individual keywords and their performance. This is where you will see exactly which search terms are driving sales.
Downloading reports
Go to Measurement & Reporting > Sponsored Ads Reports to download detailed performance data as a spreadsheet. We use these reports for your monthly summary.
What the Numbers Mean
| Metric | What it means | Good range |
|---|---|---|
| Impressions | Times your ad was displayed | Higher is better |
| Clicks | Times readers clicked your ad | Depends on budget |
| CTR | Clicks divided by impressions | 0.3% or higher |
| Spend | Total ad spend in period | Within your budget |
| Sales | Revenue attributed to ads | Higher than spend |
| ACoS | Spend / Sales (lower is better) | Under 30% for most books |
