Meet Gudiya, a hand-drawn children's book illustration concept following a village schoolgirl's day of Hindi books, chalk slates and big dreams.

Gudiya hugs her Hindi book on the walk through her village lane, reads aloud before the classroom chalkboard, studies under a tree with her slate and lunch tin nearby, and finishes homework in the glow of a study lamp. Bright blues, warm terracotta and her red ribbons carry the palette. The supporting sheets add turnarounds, eight expressions, dynamic poses, six outfit variations from rain ready to winter shawl, classmate and kitten moments and a six-panel storyboard of a day in Gudiya's life.
