Meet Lily, a hand-drawn children's book illustration concept following a leaf-crowned fairy who carries a small light through a dark wood to a sunrise meadow.
Lily holds a single flame against the dark trunks of a night forest, shelters beneath a broad leaf as rain falls on the water behind her, reads on a toadstool beside a hanging lantern, then waters a young seedling as the sun comes up over a pale meadow. Warm light against deep green carries the set. The supporting sheets add a bunny turnaround, eight expressions, six outfits and a storyboard about protecting a small light.
