Meet Lina, a hand-drawn children's book illustration concept where a girl in a red beret befriends a crocodile over picnics, rowboats and sunsets.
Lina greets the crocodile as it surfaces smiling by the flowered bank, splits sandwiches with it on a gingham picnic blanket, rows the two of them across the lily-padded river, and hugs her new friend as the sun sets. Cherry reds and river greens keep the friendship bright. The supporting sheets add an identity card, turnarounds, eight expressions, eight action poses from planting to painting, five outfit variations, friendship vignettes, props and a six-panel storyboard called A New Friend.
