Meet Max, a hand-drawn children's book illustration concept following a boy and his puppy through street, park, clifftop and sunset scenes.
Max rolls down a dappled suburban street with Buddy trotting beside the board, kneels in a park to fasten Buddy's collar, stops at a clifftop fence to watch a sailboat cross the bay, then sits on a porch step as the sun goes down. Warm late-afternoon light carries across all four scenes. The supporting sheets add a turnaround for Buddy, twelve expressions, five clothing variations and a six-panel day-long storyboard.
