Sylvie sets out from a red woodland cabin and follows a sunlit path deeper into the trees, where a fawn, a rabbit, a fox, a squirrel and a bluebird gather to meet her. The finished scenes are painted in warm textured gouache, with dappled light and a muted autumn palette. The supporting sheets develop her turnarounds, expressions, seasonal outfits, animal friends and the props of her story world.
