Meet Zia, a hand-drawn children's book illustration concept following a long-haired dreamer through meadow, lantern-lit castle, sea voyage and studio scenes.
Zia sits in a spring meadow with a bluebird on her finger while deer, a rabbit and a mouse gather close, leans from a stone balcony to watch paper lanterns rise over a lit castle, stands at the prow of a small boat as a tower island comes into view, then paints that same view at an easel indoors. Her flower-threaded hair catches the light in every scene. The supporting sheets add nine expressions, five period outfits and a six-panel storyboard.
