About This Role
We're looking for a proactive Client Services & Project Coordinator to join our Islamabad office. You'll be the bridge between our authors and our production teams — managing client communications, coordinating projects from start to finish, and ensuring every author has an exceptional experience. At HMD Publishing, we've helped over 10,000 authors across 47 countries publish their books, and you'll play a central role in keeping that engine running smoothly.
This is a full-time, on-site position at our Islamabad office. You'll work UK hours (1 PM – 9 PM PKT) to align with our international client base.
What You'll Do
- Manage client communications across Fiverr, Upwork, and email — responding promptly, professionally, and with care
- Coordinate publishing projects end-to-end, working with our formatting, design, editing, and publishing teams to hit deadlines
- Serve as the main point of contact for authors throughout their publishing journey
- Handle escalations and resolve client concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Track project milestones using our project management tools (Asana) and keep clients updated on progress
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs between production stages
- Maintain and improve workflows to increase efficiency and client satisfaction
- Document common client questions and contribute to our knowledge base for faster resolution
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in client services, customer support, or project coordination
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills — able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, or similar)
- Comfortable working across platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, and email
- A problem-solver who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in publishing, creative services, or digital media
- Familiarity with self-publishing platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark)
- Experience with CRM systems (Attio, HubSpot, or similar)
- Background in freelance marketplace client management
