About This Role
As our IT Manager, you'll be the architect and guardian of HMD Publishing's technology infrastructure. From managing our cloud services and integrations to ensuring security and reliability, you'll play a crucial role in our continued growth.
We're a technology-forward company that relies on a robust stack including Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, and numerous third-party integrations (Stripe, Dropbox, Asana, Slack, and more). You'll ensure these systems work seamlessly together while planning for future scale.
This is an opportunity to shape the technology direction of a growing publishing platform that serves authors worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase, AWS)
- Oversee system integrations and API connections
- Implement and maintain security best practices
- Troubleshoot technical issues across platforms
- Plan and execute technology improvements
- Manage vendor relationships and software licenses
- Document systems and create technical procedures
- Support team members with technical questions
What We're Looking For
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure and SaaS platforms
- Understanding of web technologies (Node.js, databases, APIs)
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js, Vercel, or Supabase
- Knowledge of payment systems (Stripe)
- Experience with automation tools (Zapier, n8n)
- Background in the publishing or creative services industry
